Description
Cambuci has the typical shape of a flying saucer. The usual size is 4 to 6 cm in diameter and 2.5 to 4.5 cm in height, with an average weight of 55 g, the fruit has about 80% pulp, 18% peel and the rest are seeds. The external color of the fruit is green, even when ripe, a phase that is recognized by the softening of the fruit, in addition to a slight change from dark green to light green. The peel of the fruit is thin and can be consumed along with the pulp. Cambuci has a fresh and unique aroma, a cream-colored pulp and a flavor that combines sweet with sour.
The pulp is made solely with the fruits, discarding seeds and peel. It should be maintained at -20oC.
