Description
Helium is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas in the atmosphere at room temperature, and it has the lowest critical temperature. It is the most difficult gas in nature to liquefy. It has extremely low chemical reactivity and cannot be burned or used as a combustible material. The helium content in the air is about 5.2 parts per million. Theoretically, it can be extracted from the air, but due to its extremely low content, the separation cost is very high. Liquid helium can be used for cryogenic cooling due to its low boiling point (-268.9 degrees Celsius).
