Founded in 1950 in the city of Timbó, Santa Catarina, the Germer group began activities as a manufacturer of weaving loom cylinders. In 1969, we started to produce porcelain for industrial use.
In 1978, the company expanded its participation in the ceramic industry, and Germer purchased controlling shares of another company in the city of Campo Largo, Paraná,
a city known as the "City of Ceramics". With purchase of stationary and continuous furnaces, which allowed fires to 1350 ° C, the company started its production of
decorated porcelain,changing the name to Germer Porcelanas Finas SA from 1988.
Today, with approximately 600 direct employees, the company management devotes great effort to expand and modernize the industrial park and the preservation
of nature, and to value its human resources with the maintenance of constant investments in the technical, health and leisure. Germer has also implemented a reforestation infrastructure in order to meet its needs for the generation of gas from the burning of firewood as a replacement for the gas generated from petroleum by-products.
Currently, the Germer product line consists of approximately 500 items, is marketed throughout the national territory, in Mercosur, the United States and Europe, especially England, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark.
