Hangzhou P/M Research Institute Co., Ltd (referred as Hangzhou P/M Company), owned by Hangzhou Advance Gearbox Group Co., Ltd, set up in 1965 as a Class-two Research Institute belong to the Agricultural Machinery Ministry, is a leading enterprise in Chinese frictional materials and P/M industry. It enjoys favorable geographic location and convenient communications, just a half-hour drive to the beautiful West Lake and Xiaoshan International Airport. 
Adhering to advanced management concept, the company implements modern operational mode, and owns a high-efficiency team which is good at pioneering, cooperation and innovation. It is dedicated to development and manufacture of various copper-, iron-, paper-, carbon-bases and semi-metal frictional products, sintered components and compound anti-friction parts, which are widely used on clutches and brakes in constructional, agricultural and mining machineries, heavy-duty vehicles, general machinery transmission, shipping, automobile and special vehicles. Now the company has production lines of sprinkling-sintering frictional plates, pressing-sintering plate and paper plate, applies advanced computer central control to operate production and sinter system, automatic mixture system, and introduces hundreds of domestic and imported advanced equipments such as Austrian Sprinkling Equipment and German Polishing Machine. Annual sale on frictional products has exceeded 150 million. The products are well sold at home and also countries and areas in Europe, North America, Asia, South-east Asia, and Mid-east. The Zhejiang Key Lab of Gear Transmission and Frictional Material Research, the National Technical Center and the Postdoctoral Scientific Research Workstation established in the Headquarter are specialized in technical research and product development of various frictional materials. The company owns tens of advanced testing and inspection equipments, such as computer-controlled testing benches for wet or dry friction materials, iCAP6300 inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometer and SAE No.2 Tester imported from America. In recent 50 years, Hangzhou P/M company has compiled and formulated ten-odd national and industrial standards for P/M industry, created ten patents of invention and utility model, completed 300-odd scientific research and new-product development projects assigned by state, ministry, province and municipal governments. Some research achievements won National Science Meeting Prize, Second Prize of Progress in Science and Technology in Machinery Industrial Ministry, Second Prize of Science and Technology in Mechanical and Electrical Ministry, and Provincial or Municipal Science and Technology Results.
