The main applications of Hydrochloric Acid are: Manufacture of coagulants for water and sewage treatment
Manufacture of chlorides (Fertilizers/ Agro) and chemical intermediates.
Chemical processes in the general industry (Oil Extraction, Acid Iced Split / Biodiesel, Hydrolysis of starches and proteins, Correction of PHs).
Stripping of metal surfaces - Steel and metallurgical industry.
It is also used in flotation and processing of ores, in the regeneration of ion exchange resins, in the neutralization of effluents, acid activation of clays, hydrolysis of cellulose, among others.
