These preparations are classified as Estate Coffees, Varietals, Special Preparations and Equal Partners Blends.<br><br>Terrior Concept for Coffee<br>Ipanema sought inspiration in the wine industry in order to evaluate and select its many production areas.<br> “Terroir” means the set of characteristics conferred by a certain geographical location to a certain product, especially wine and coffee. These elements include not only the location, but above all the climate, type of soil, soil geology, altitude, sunlight, production practices and post-harvest processing.<br> <br>By analyzing each field in its more than 5,000 hectares planted with coffee according to the “terroir” concept, Ipanema can divide its production in hundreds of different lots, preserving each one’s unique quality and creating the segmentation necessary for the development of its 13 labels.<br><br>Coffee Solution Provider<br>The increasing sophistication and growth in the consumption of specialty coffee all over the world have brought enormous changes in consumer habits and, as a consequence, throughout the supply chain.<br> <br>As Ipanema entered new markets, new demands arose, different trends were identified, many times within a single country, or even for a specific client.<br> <br>The incessant search for solutions to meet these demands gave rise, over the years, to a range of service, support and marketing tools that comprise what we today call the “Coffee Solution Provider Concept”.<br> <br>Available to all the company’s clients, the objective of these services is to enable Ipanema to be recognized as a provider of a full range of solutions for the supply of specialty coffee.<br>
