Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a two-component heavy-duty anti-corrosion primer with epoxy resin as the base material and high-content zinc powder as the main anti-rust pigment. This product combines the cathodic protection of zinc powder with the shielding protection of epoxy resin to provide long-lasting dual anti-corrosion protection for steel substrates. It exhibits strong film adhesion, excellent mechanical properties, and outstanding resistance to salt spray and damp heat, enabling long-term use in harsh marine climates and industrial corrosive environments. Epoxy zinc-rich primer is widely used as the anti-rust undercoat in heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating systems. When used in conjunction with epoxy intermediate coats and polyurethane, polysiloxane, or fluorocarbon topcoats, it can construct a long-lasting protection system for C4–C5 grade highly corrosive environments, making it an important basic anti-corrosion material for steel structure engineering, bridge engineering, and energy and chemical facilities.
