In another segment, the company stood out in the manufacture of resistant submarine hulls for the Brazilian Navy. Since 1986, NUCLEP started the development of technology to manufacture resistant hulls for mass-produced submarines. The company has developed its own welding and manufacturing processes, has built highly sophisticated devices, equipment and prototypes.<br><br>Resulting in November 1993 in the Navy inaugurating the Tamoio, the first domestically manufactured submarine, with its hull manufactured by NUCLEP. Thus, Brazil entered the restricted group of countries which have the technology to manufacture these maritime vehicles. NUCLEP has already manufactured resistant hulls for three other submarines: the Tapajó, Timbira and Tikuna.<br><br>Furthermore, it stands out because of the pioneering and technological development in manufacturing a hyperbaric chamber for Cenpes - Petrobras, whose principal application is in a deep water oil exploration and production system. <br>
