Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a saturated polymer material, white powder in appearance, non-toxic and tasteless, with excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, and good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring properties. It has good toughness (still flexible at -30°C), has good compatibility with other polymer materials, has a high decomposition temperature, and decomposes to produce HCl, which can catalyze the dechlorination reaction of CPE.
Chlorinated polyethylene resin is a new type of synthetic material with a range of excellent properties. It is an excellent impact modifier for PVC plastics, and it is also a synthetic rubber with good comprehensive properties, which has a wide range of applications, and has been widely used in cables, wires, hoses, adhesive tapes, rubber and plastic products, sealing materials, flame retardant conveyor belts, waterproof membranes, films and various profiles and other products. CPE can also be blended with polypropylene, high and low pressure polyethylene, ABS, etc., to improve the flame retardant performance, aging resistance and printing performance of these plastics. CPE can be regarded as a random copolymer of ethylene, polyethylene and 1,2-dichloroethylene, which has a saturated molecular chain and random distribution of polar chlorine atoms, because of its excellent physical and chemical properties, it is widely used in machinery, electric power, chemical industry, building materials and mining industry. CPE is better than most rubbers in heat resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, aging resistance, oil resistance is better than nitrile rubber (NBR), neoprene rubber (CR), and aging resistance is better than chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM); Resistant to acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive properties, non-toxic, non-flammable, no explosion hazard.
Mainly used in: wire and cable (coal mine cable, UL and VDE and other standards specified in the wire), hydraulic hose, automotive hose, tape, rubber sheet, PVC profile pipe modification, magnetic materials, ABS modification and so on.
