PSA nitrogen generator working principle
Pressure swing adsorption air separation nitrogen production (referred to as P.S.A nitrogen production) is an advanced air separation technology, using high-quality carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as adsorbent, using the principle of normal temperature pressure swing adsorption (PSA) to separate air to take high-purity nitrogen.

Pressure swing adsorption air separation nitrogen generator (P.S.A nitrogen generator) is a nitrogen production equipment designed and manufactured according to pressure swing adsorption technology. Generally, two parallel adsorption towers are adopted, and the timing sequence is strictly controlled by the automatic control system according to specific program procedures, and the pressure adsorption and decompression regeneration are alternately carried out to complete the separation of nitrogen and oxygen to obtain the required high-purity nitrogen.
PSA nitrogen generator consists of five parts: A. compressed air purification system, B. air storage tank system, C. O2/N2 separation system, D. nitrogen buffer system, E. electrical control system.
The process of producing nitrogen consists of four main steps:
v Air compressor provides compressed air with a certain pressure;
v Air purification systems purify compressed air by removing dust, oil and water;
v Oxygen and nitrogen separation system adopts PSA technology to produce qualified nitrogen;
v The nitrogen buffer system provides a stable air source for subsequent equipment by storing nitrogen.
The air compressor consumes electricity to compress the air and provide stable and sustainable raw materials for the subsequent oxygen and nitrogen separation system.
Compressed air enters the air purification system from the compressor. The role of an air purification system is to remove dust, water and oil through a three-layer filter, a freeze dryer and a high-efficiency degreaser. Oil removal is to protect the core component of the nitrogen generator - carbon molecular sieve to avoid oil poisoning.
The purified compressed air enters an oxygen and nitrogen separation system equipped with a carbon molecular sieve. The two adsorption towers work alternately to provide stable production to meet the requirements of users.
