Description
A photovoltaic (PV) module is a power generation device that uses semiconductor materials (such as silicon) to convert light energy into direct current (DC). Its core principle is based on the photovoltaic effect, achieving stable power generation through a solid-state structure with no moving parts. It is suitable for powering small electronic devices, building surface integration, and grid-connected power systems. The module mainly consists of laminates, an aluminum alloy frame, and a junction box. The laminates include tempered glass, EVA film, silicon-based solar cells, and a backsheet, achieving both light transmission protection and photoelectric conversion. Monocrystalline silicon cells can achieve a conversion efficiency of up to 24%, polycrystalline silicon 12%-14.8%, and amorphous silicon is more adaptable to low light conditions but experiences faster degradation. Modules can be modularly connected to expand power generation capacity and adapt to different application scenarios. In practical applications, PV modules are often integrated into building surfaces (such as roofs and windows) and used with inverters, controllers, and other equipment to form a complete power generation system.
