Hitermic HT 1200 refractory blanket is made of amorphous ceramic fiber
with high purity without organic additives. Long fiber for the production of
blanket with a diameter of the order of 3 - 5 μm is obtained by the SPUN
vortex method from a molten mixture of quartz and alumina (aluminium
oxide) and then formed into needled blanket with many combinations of
size and density. HT fiber with approximate chemical composition: AL2O3
- 45 % and SiO2 - 54 % has a melting point above 1700°C and is
classified at 1260°C. Ceramic fiber materials are designed for make
lightweight insulation with high performance and resistance.
