Description
Shuttle racking (also known as shuttle racking) is a high-density warehousing system consisting of racking, shuttle trolleys, and forklifts. It is primarily used in industries with high-volume, single-product operations, such as food, chemicals, and tobacco, as well as in cold storage and space-constrained warehouses. It uses radio-controlled shuttle trolleys to automatically access palletized goods on racking rails, supporting both first-in-first-out (FIFO) and last-in-first-out (LIFO) operation modes. The system uses forklifts for cross-aisle transport and shuttle trolleys for in-aisle handling. The core component, the SSTC shuttle trolley, has a rated load capacity of 1000-1500 kg, an unloaded operating speed of 0.7-0.9 m/s, and is equipped with lithium manganese or lithium batteries, providing a runtime of over 8 hours. The racking depth can be extended to tens of meters, achieving a space utilization rate exceeding 80%, 5-6 times that of traditional racking. By integrating WMS/WCS systems and unmanned equipment, it can be upgraded to a fully automated warehousing solution, suitable for cold chain and pharmaceutical applications requiring low-temperature operations or batch management, reducing manual intervention and improving safety.
