Textil Americana's natural straw benefits industrially. The material is produced from a cotton substrate, which is transformed into long fiber.

During the process, receives treatment against mites and fungi.

On the other hand, native straw does not go through this processing, that is, it is extracted directly from nature and sold without any type of treatment.

With high strength and durability, the American Natural Textil Straw has variations that allow its use in seats, without distorting or requiring external reinforcement. The native straw has medium resistance and deteriorates over time.

Another advantage of natural straw is the possibility of dyeing, painting or aging effects of fibers, using synthetic or natural pigments, without loss of their natural characteristics.

Similar to a fabric, natural straw has great malleability, allowing folds, curves and even seams on it. The native material does not have malleability, being brittle and with little adhering to the curves and more accentuated folds. In addition, it needs to be immersed in water to be applied, further increasing the risk of fungi and mites after some time. The touch of natural straw is soft and textured, different from the native straw, which is dry and often needs to be passed through the fire, for the removal of barbs, in a process called Gauze.

The issue of sustainability is also present when it comes to natural straw. In the extraction of the cotton substrate, 100% of the matter is used or reused in the production process. In native straw, the process is highly predatory and without concern for its replacement in nature.
