Description
It is ideal for small expenses of 5 lps (80 GPM) to 100 lps (1,600 gpm) and high loads: 500 mts (1,500 ft), however, in some cases only this type of equipment is handled expenses up to 365 lps. with 2-pole and 4-pole engines i.e. 1760 and 3460 RPM. It is used in a completely vertical way, although it can be used with tilt or even horizontally. Power is powered by electrical cable specially designed to handle electrical energy underwater.
TYPICAL OPERATION
The submersible pump must have a more sensitive control equipment due to the adverse condition of the engine, which monitors the different electrical variables to stop the operation in case of exiting these from a pre-established range.
Requires a lower initial investment. It is less heavy to use than the arrow or shaft pump, however, with clean water and at an adequate temperature it is very popular and has quite durability either used in cases of diverted wells, or when you are not sure of the verticality , high efficiencies to give you an adequate return on investment.
The submersible pump is specially designed for use in well and as a pressure lift pump for commercial and municipal industrial service water systems. It is designed to operate in a fully submersible manner. In deep well applications, the motor pump and cable are suspended by the column. In pressure lifting applications the unit must be housed in a barrel made of steel and may be horizontal or vertical.
Applications where this type of pump has advantages:
• Extremely deep wells where there may be problems with the shafts of a transmission pump such as some deviated well.
• In installations where there may be potential flooding problem that would cause problems with an over-surface electric motor.
• Pressure lifting applications where silent operation is required. • Facilities where minimal space is required.
• Applications where the pump is placed horizontally within the pipe line and that conditions require a minimum of excavation or use of surface space.
• Deundundation applications.
