The year 1912, the date, May 24. District of St. Kitts, in Rio de Janeiro, then capital of the Republic. Thus was born the MacLauchlan and Co., a result of the entrepreneurial vision of Affonso Bebbiano, Simon McLauchlan, George White, Mark Sutton and Stephen Ferreira, who foresaw the potential for welding oxiacetilênica the industrial development of Brazil.
Less than a year later opened another factory in Jundiai, Sao Paulo, and after eight years with the departure of Simon MacLauchlan society, the company changed its name to White Martins.
