Polycarboxylate superplasticizers, as the third generation of high-efficiency concrete superplasticizers, have advantages over naphthalene-based high-efficiency superplasticizers, such as high water reduction rate, high strength, low shrinkage, low bleeding, and small slump loss. Polycarboxylate superplasticizers have relatively good adaptability to different cements. Compared with naphthalene-based high-efficiency superplasticizers, the early and later strength of concrete with polycarboxylate superplasticizers increases faster, especially the later strength of high-strength concrete. (1) Good water reduction rate: This product has good water reduction performance at low dosage, and the effect is particularly significant in high-grade concrete (C50 and above), with a maximum water reduction rate of up to 40%; (2) Excellent plasticity retention performance: Due to the steric hindrance of the extended polymer side chains, the secondary agglomeration between cement particles is effectively prevented. Therefore, this product has high dispersion performance and can maintain this performance for a long time, realizing the excellent plasticity retention ability of concrete mixtures. (3) Good early strength and strengthening effect: Under the same conditions, the early strength and strengthening effect of concrete after adding this product is higher than that of other types of high-efficiency superplasticizers. (4) Significantly improves concrete durability: The product has a low alkali content, and because it is an air-entraining water-reducing agent, it significantly reduces the alkali-aggregate reaction in concrete and improves the concrete's freeze-thaw resistance. (5) Dimensional stability: Concrete mixed with this product effectively improves its shrinkage and creep properties, exhibiting excellent dimensional stability and reducing the risk of cracking. It is suitable for cast-in-place concrete, reinforced concrete, ready-mixed concrete, or pumped concrete in industrial and civil buildings, roads, bridges, ports, power plants, airports, and other projects. It can be used to prepare high-strength, high-performance, large-volume, vibration-free, self-compacting special concretes.
