Description
Active alumina catalyst carrier refers to white powdered or formed alumina solids, is a wide range of catalyst carriers used, accounting for about 70% of industrial load-type catalysts. Alumina has a variety of forms, not only different forms have different properties, even if the same form because of its different sources, but also have different properties, such as density, pore structure, surface area and so on.
Commodity alumina carriers are powdered, but most are formed. Striped, splored, ingot-shaped alumina is mostly used as a catalyst carrier in fixed bed reactors, and micro-splor alumina carriers are mostly used in fluidized bed reactors. It can also be made into a specific catalytic process required by the shape of a carrier, such as ring, trilete, honeycomb, fibrous (see alumina fiber) and so on.
