Edege Equipamentos Agropecuários was founded in 1979 in the town of Chapeco (SC), where four of the largest poultry and pig slaughterhouses in Latin America also have their headquarters.
Edege produces high-tech slaughterhouse equipment in the line of market bells, tubular feeders, automatic feeders, feed bins and curtains and the entire line of equipment for aviaries.
Today, the company owns much of the poultry market offering its own production technology and international partnerships, through representatives spread throughout Brazil. The Edege brand brings the security, productivity and technological advancement of the first world-producer of poultry equipment.
The company produces metallic silos for feed that facilitate the unloading and storage of food used in poultry and swine herds. It also produces an advanced system of automatic nipple feeder with a high water flow that meets the need of birds without contaminating or wasting water.
Edege manufactures automatic feeders with plastic dishes suitable for birds to use from their first to last day, which avoid food wastage, making it even easier to feed them. Edege also manufactures robust equipment to produce turkeys in Brazil, which guarantees high income for farmers.
Edege produces fans and misting systems to control the environment required for the development of birds in the warmest period of the year. For the winter, the company manufactures systems for wood boilers and mini furnaces with wood consumption, ideal for warming birds, as well as producing the traditional gas caps for various heating systems.
With an industrial complex in modern and spacious facilities in the neighbourhood of Palmital; the company generates 70 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs each year. Using latest generation machinery, Edege annually produces thousands of pieces of equipment to aid the work of producers in Brazil and the countries that form the Mercosur.
