Gralha Azul began with the arrival of Francisco Beltran Family Pecoits for in mid-1952 when Dr. Valter Pecoits well known doctor of Barra do Rio Azul region Erechim, come to solve the Parana, at which time the timber made the region very promising.
Family settles at the hospital, Dona Manuela, resolve to transform the old site a company with a pioneering project, founded on 21 December 1971 the Blue Magpie Poultry. Restless and always working, Dona Manuela led the company until 1974, when his son Robert Pecoits leaves Curitiba to take the business. At the time the newly formed Blue Magpie and with timid steps, producing 4,000 eggs a week, a number that year after year turned into 400,000 eggs per week, a reflection of wins and losses, work, hope and dedication.
Francisco Beltran, now 50, had no idea that Mrs. Manoela do much for our families, for our region, at 33 years of Blue Magpie, this figure marks the history of our people. Along with this, we can say that the Brazilian poultry industry itself has in its pages the name Blue Magpie.
Today in 2003, the Blue Magpie is proud to be present in the four corners of the world, proud to be Brazilian, prouder still of being able to life the dream of a lady who knows who planted the seed to reap much fruit.
