In 1996 Xignux, through Viakable division, acquires Sao Marco initiating a new phase . With new investments and joint effort of its employees, customers and suppliers the company conquered technology, experience and reliability to deliver its products to a demanding market.

Sao Marco was the first Brazilian industry to produce enameled magnet wire .

To improve its logistics, productivity and services, Sao Marco incorporated in August 1997 the company Conduplast , being currently one of the largest companies in Brazil in the production of enameled copper wires .

The chemical division of Sao Marco began its activities in 1953 in São Paulo - SP. Following the rapid development of Brazilian industry the division grew and became one of the largest domestic manufacturers of solvents , enamels and varnishes electro - insulating varnishes . In 1988, moved its plant to the industrial district of the city of Extrema , Minas Gerais , developing cutting edge technology and diversifying new products , such as resins and lubricants . Also incorporated by Xignux in 1996 , the Sao Marco Chemistry Division currently has modern manufacturing facility , located in Three Hearts - MG , and is prepared to meet the demands and needs of its customers .
