Wobben Windpower is the only manufacturer of aero generators (wind turbines) of big size in South America at the moment. The company was created to produce components and aero generators for export and for the internal market, to design, install, operate and provide technical assistance for Wind Plants. It is also the first independent producer of electricity, coming from sources such as wind, authorized by ANEEL, with 4 plants in operation themselves.

We are a subsidiary of ENERCON GmbH, a world leader in wind-edge technology, and a leader of the global wind power market.

The aero generators Wobben Windpower / ENERCON are recognized worldwide as the most advanced, with a combination of quality, economy and generation capacity, unrivaled in the world market. ENERCON has installed about 12,600 aero generators, totaling around 14,000 MW in about 40 countries.

Wobben invests significant amounts in manufacturing facilities in Sorocaba - SP, in full operation 12 years ago and where we are producing the aero generators ENERCON E-48, 800 kW and E-70, 2000 kW. The E-48 is the family of wind turbines most successful throughout history, with more than 5900 units installed and operating with maximum efficiency and profitability, in 33 countries. The Wind turbine ENERCON E-70, 2000 kW, is a world leader in its class, with about 4500 units already installed.

As of February 2002, we significantly increased our production capacity, with the new factory in the Industrial Complex and the Portuario do Pecém, in Ceara, which was expanded in 2005 with the new factory in concrete towers.

The deployment of factory towers of concrete in Ceará is primarily to attend to the Brazilian market.

Wobben is certified in ISO 9001 version 2000 and ISO 14001, by the prestigious German institute Germanischer Lloyd, not only to manufacture complete aero generators, but also for design, installation, operation and maintenance of Plants.
