It is used as a catalyst for phenolic resin condensation, and a desiccant for the production of dyes and intermediates. In the printing industry, it is used to prepare cleaning solutions to remove stains from offset and color printing plates. It is also used to prepare matchstick impregnation liquid. The metallurgical industry is used to produce phosphoric acid refractory mud and improve the life of steelmaking furnaces. It is a coagulant for rubber slurry and a raw material for the production of inorganic binders. It is used in the paint industry as a metal anti-rust paint.
